SWIMMERS DELIGHT ON THE VAN DUZEN RIVER

I went camping with 3 friends from Crabs work (they also are all HSU basketball players and Bobi is from Lancaster!). This was a spot I had never been to, on a river I had never been to so this was exciting. Just south of Eureka off the 36 sits this amazing campground. Sad it took me 10 years to discover this place!
setting up camp

Our small village
trees around our site
Whitneys "Hotel California". She had 2 air mattresses in here...I slept in here the 2nd night due to 2 giant spiders being in my tent

The Van Duzen
This area was closed off due to mother nature. That slab of rock sticking out is about to fall off into the river...erosion.
Here's a better shot of the slab thats ready to break away

Bobi and Whit spittin seeds

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO no swimming under the slab....
IM GOING IN!
just kidding I really didn't
Katie and Bobi skippin rocks

Sooo the animals attacked our site numerous times. This was the first case: Chipmunks into our hot dog buns. We also had racoons climb into Katies car overnight (through a cracked window) and eat more bread and some chips, they left Dorito paw prints all over her car haha. And lastly we had birds get into a bagof sunflower seeds. Humans=0 points, Animals=3

I went down these rapids on my little floaty...fun!
