FERN CANYON

Me and 3 friends from work decided to drive up to Fern Canyon after work and do a mini hike. Its easy, and short and is worth the 40 min drive. Its part of the Redwood National Forest and I think you need to come visit now so you can see it for yourself. Instantly you feel like you've stepped into pre-historic times when walking through the canyon.

Trees down everywhere. i can't imagine the wind gusts that sweep up this canyon in the winter. Notice the one tree thats corkscrewed?

ferns growing out of the walls
look how the trees criss-cross over the canyon.

this was a mess. the roots from the far tree were larger then most trees in general
