KAYAKING HUMBOLDT BAYS SLOUGHS

Rented Kayaks for an entire day. We started in the Humboldt Bay and went up the Eureka Slough. Its important to kayak at high tide so you dont get stuck in the marsh

After a couple hour break our plan was to go out to the Mad River Slough and watch the sunset, however a HUGE bank of fog rolled in. We thought it would be cool to go anyways and it ended up feeling like Pirates of the Carribean. We even saw 5 otters! There is a video at the bottom of 2 of them swimming around...

Otter!
awww

Here are 2 otters swimming around. They go under and pop up on me a lot so its hard to keep track of them, but overall pretty sweet being 10 yards away from sea otters
